Paola started her artistic journey in April 2019 with a drawing of one of her favorite villains, “Bill Cipher”. From there, she took on traditional drawing on paper and sketchbooks.
Throughout quarantine in 2020, she started exploring the world of digital drawing, and thanks to the COVID-19 isolation (haha), she became a self-taught digital artist.
In late 2021, she decided to delve into traditional painting. This allowed her to become versatile with her mediums of creating visual pieces. "It is a helpful and cathartic way for me to release tension and really appreciate making mistakes".
Paola is also on the autism spectrum, explained in her newly released book,
I Am Unique and That’s Neat!
"[I wrote this book] to acknowledge the importance and positivity this diagnosis holds".
By joining Bpdsquared, she found a place where she would be able to work alongside close friends and create for different purposes, like validation, acceptance, and healing.
Paola feels truly blessed to be conjoining her passion for creating art with her love for the mental health community and it's message.
"I strive to put my whole heart into all the work I do, and I am honored to contribute to providing awareness for mental wellness."
